September 26: A Worship Service to Celebrate the CCC’s 75th Birthday

On September 26, 1944, The Canadian Council of Churches was established in an inaugural worship service at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church. For 75 years, the CCC has contributed to faithful public witness, transformative education and learning, and foundational research and dialogue. Today we respond to Christ’s call for unity and peace, seek Christ’s truth with an affection for diversity, and act in love through dialogue, prayer, and witness to the gospel.

Join us this September 26 as we give thanks for the ways God has worked through the one ecumenical movement in Canada. In addition to songs and prayers that reflect our member churches, The Rev. Amanda Currie, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Canada, will preach on “Growing Up Together”.
