Recent Webinars by the Forum for Intercultural Leadership and Learning

The Forum for Intercultural Leadership and Learning (FILL), a reference group of The Canadian Council of Churches, has recently begun conducting regular webinars around topics that pertain to their work in intercultural ministry.

The most recent webinar, “Strangers & Angels Unaware: Demographic Change, Church Decline, and Radical Hope,” was held on February 12, 2020. Rather than lamenting declining church attendance as a bad thing, host Bill Millar, an intercultural ministry researcher and trainer, presented it as a Divine invitation to a radical new hope, a re-conception of church in Canada. Find the video of the webinar on Youtube and auxiliary materials like slides and notes on FILL’s webinar page.

The first webinar was held on November 20th, 2019. Co-hosts Miriam Spies (UCC Minister and PhD student) and Alice Schuda (Centennial College) explored ways to create welcoming spaces for People With Disabilities (PWDs) from a theological perspective. They also discussed the practice of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Find the webinar here and auxiliary materials like slides and notes on FILL’s webinar page.
