The Canadian Council of Churches was saddened to learn of the passing of John Mihevc, sustainability team manager for KAIROS Canada, yesterday morning.
John Mihevc lived, moved, and had his being in and through the Unity in Diversity that is God in Christ and the Holy Spirit.
A man of vision… a man who knew that God’s vision is made manifest in the world in concrete actions of justice and mercy.
The ecumenical reality of Canada will miss him much. The people of Canada whom he was committed to serve will miss him much. Our best and most faithful tribute to his life is to continue to following Jesus’ calling in Matthew 25 to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit those in prison, and set at liberty those oppressed.
John continues to live in and through the Unity in Diversity that is God.
