For Christians the biblical imperative is to love our neighbours as ourselves.
The holy texts and traditions of all faiths proclaim a message of care, compassion, and love. Individuals may sometimes choose ways of violence, but we are called to stand together to strengthen the path to peace for all.
The CCC is deeply concerned, and calls for prayers in the aftermath of the attacks and hostage-taking in Paris. We continue to pray for lasting peace and renewed commitment to active dialogue and understanding on the part of all peoples.
