Canadian Interfaith Community Raising Their Voice

(Toronto, Ontario, Canada) Faith organizations and groups from across the country will be working together to host events in their local communities before March 31, 2011 in an effort to remind Canada, and Canadians, of our commitment to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). School children of all ages will be participating, learning about interfaith dialogue, understanding and universal responsibility.
These events follow twenty dinners which were hosted across the country by multiple faith groups and individuals working together prior to the 2010 G8/G20 Summit in Toronto. Members of Parliament who attended these events saw how powerful and unified interfaith cooperation can be when it is focused on common, universal and imperative objectives. Members of Parliament were encouraged to challenge the Canadian government, and the other G8/G20 countries at the Summit, to fulfill their MDG commitments.
